A new era for Rajasthani cinema “Tanko bhid Gyaoo”

From time immemorial Friday is considered the most auspicious day of the week for release of new Hindi films. But coming Friday is especially because on May 30th Rajasthan film “Tanko bhid Gyaoo” is going to be released all over Rajasthan in more than 90 high-tech cinema halls through digital technology. In India we produce more than 1,000 films every year not only in Hindi but also in many other regional languages. Some of our regional films get tremendous response at box office. India is known for its cultural diversity and we cannot avoid Rajasthan because not only for its historical background but also for its rich cultural and artistic background. Every year thousands of people come to Rajasthan from around the world to understand our rich traditions and culture. I am very proud that I was born in this rich cultural hub , and more than that I was lucky to study my own culture, traditions and have travelled to almost each and every corner of my state as a cultural researcher and independent film maker during “Look Yatra”. Rajasthan has produce some of international renowned folk musicians, dancers and craftsmen and off course film actors, producer and directors……! Yes I am proud of my friend and colleague Irrfan Khan’s achievement as an actor in international cinema , Grammy award winner Pandit Vishva Mohan Bhat ,Mrs Gulabi (Gulabo), kalbeliya gypsy dancer, Piyush and Prasoon Pandey, Illa Arun, Sawan Kumar Tak (National award winner filmmaker , late Jagmohan Mundra etc. Many filmmakers have captured the beauty of this wonderful state ….but our won regional cinema is grasping for breath because of our own fault as most of Rajasthani films are technically and aesthetically very poor. Let me introduce one of my friends, Mr Nishant Bhardwaj, a young independent filmmaker, who was born in Rajasthan and brought up in Mumbai and learnt cinema under the legend of Indian cinema late Hrishikesh Mukerjee, Since last one year Nishant is working hard to make his dream come true. He has been involved day and night for his upcoming film “Tanko bhid Gyaoo”. He is lucky that his producer Mr Jasbeer Dhillon is supporting him. When he first discussed the idea to make this subject in Rajasthani, I said are you crazy? You know that the Rajasthani cinema is almost dead……. ? You won’t even get Rs 5 lakh subsidy from state government. But you know what his reply was? He said “Yusuf if I will not make this effort then who will? I am proud of you Dear Nishant……! I cross my fingers and pray for the success of his dream come true…on this Friday One hopes that this Friday will open a new chapter in the history of Rajasthani cinema, because success of Nishant’s effort will inspire many to join this journey of promoting Rajasthan and giving a new lease of life to Rajasthani cinema. “ Tanko bhid Gyaoo” is technically and aesthetically good family entertainment film. Hope “Tanko bhid Gyaoo” will usher in a new era for Rajasthan cinema. Best wishes to Mr Nishant and his team.
